SARBAT DA BHALLA – WELLBEING FOR ALL

The daily ask of a Sikh before Akaal Purakh (God) is “Sarbat da Bhalla” translating to well-being for all. Well-being comes in multiple forms; physical, mental and spiritual. The Guru provided physical, mental and spiritual well-being to those who sought His sanctuary and beyond. From the instillment of communal kitchens and mindfulness to connecting with nature and meditation, the Guru ensured the well-being of their Sikh. P6 Academy wants to streamline these ideals into courses that are beneficial to students – this could include workshops on mental health or mindfulness sessions. The aim of this learning area is to fill the gap for particularly mental/emotional well-being which is a strife topic in the modern era.

WHATS COMING

We will carefully select information and practices from the horizon of well-being providing classes, workshops or seminars. In the pipeline, we are working on areas such as nutrition, maintenance of mental health, menstrual health, gardening and yoga! We are certain that by encouraging growth and knowledge in these areas, an elevated consciousness will be invoked in every student.

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਏਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਦੋਖ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥

Meditate in loving remembrance on the One Lord; your sorrows shall be ended, O friend. ||1||

Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Ang 1272, SGGS.

Our ethos behind this learning area is that someone who looks after their mental and emotional wellbeing will be better suited to deal with life. We strive to provide education and knowledge alongside support systems and networks to better understand and improve what is on offer.
