Shaster Awareness

The community of baptised Sikh are the only ‘citizens’ permitted by law to carry a weapon on their person in many countries worldwide. This is an immense privilege that needs to be respected and upheld if we wish to maintain our religious freedoms. We feel ignorance is best met by education. This course will intend to host seminars, workshops, and resources for members of different backgrounds to educate on what the Kirpan is, the responsibilities of adorning a Kirpan and the consequences of misusing one.

This course and associated resources are yet to be developed and are displayed to show the vision. If you are qualified, experienced, or just simply passionate, please contact us here. If you would like to develop a learning resource for the community or already have learning resources developed and wish to host them on the VLE, do not hesitate to contact us. We are eager to work with like-minded individuals within the community to progress collectively.
